THE CHALLENGE
A busy venue.
A struggling connection.
Match-day Wi-Fi was struggling when 400–500 people were on site. The impact extended across spectator areas, hospitality spaces and back-office operations, with the venue needing better coverage and more capacity at its busiest times.
The design needed to consider indoor rooms and outdoor gathering areas together. Access point placement and the way coverage reached each space were central to improving the experience across the site.

Cambium indoor and outdoor access points supported a design focused on both coverage and capacity.
Indoor tri-band access points
The solution used Cambium indoor tri-band access points with 6 GHz capability, supporting the indoor coverage and capacity requirements.
Outdoor dual-band access points
Cambium outdoor dual-band access points were selected and positioned to serve outdoor spaces where spectators and guests gather.
Installation checks
We carried out installation checks and selected access point installation as part of the project, aligning the deployed equipment with the wireless design.
Validation survey
An on-site validation survey checked the deployed wireless coverage and access point placement across key areas, bringing field evidence into the project handover.

The upgrade improved indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi coverage, increased capacity for busy match days and validated access point placement across the venue’s key areas. The result supported the needs of spectators, hospitality spaces and back-office operations.
