Technology & Cyber Review
FOR YOUR BUSINESS

A clear picture.
A practical plan.

Whether you run an office, hotel, property portfolio or a business across several sites, small gaps in your IT can become daily disruption. A review brings your equipment, connectivity, security controls and recovery arrangements into one conversation.

Start with the questions that matter to you: unreliable Wi-Fi, ageing hardware, uncertainty about backups, growing sites or unclear supplier responsibilities. We agree the scope around your operation and explain findings in language your decision-makers can use.

WHAT WE LOOK AT

The systems your
business depends on.

The review is tailored to the systems and access agreed before work begins.

Your IT environment

Map the devices, servers, cloud services and business applications your team relies on. Identify ageing equipment, unsupported software and gaps in documentation.

Networks & connectivity

Review switching, Wi-Fi, internet connections and separation between staff, guests and connected equipment. Look at recurring faults, capacity and single points of failure.

Access & cyber security

Assess account permissions, multi-factor authentication, remote access, firewall settings, patching and endpoint protection within the agreed scope. Highlight practical steps to reduce exposure.

Backups & recovery

Review what is backed up, where copies are held, who monitors them and the evidence of successful restores. Discuss recovery priorities and what your team would do during an outage.

Connected systems & suppliers

Understand dependencies across phones, CCTV, operational software and third-party services. Clarify access ownership, support responsibilities and escalation routes.

Priorities & investment

Bring the findings together so you can distinguish urgent actions from planned improvements. Consider the impact on your operation, dependencies and sensible replacement timelines.

THE REVIEW PROCESS

From questions
to clear actions.

A focused review, with an agreed scope and a useful outcome.

01 / Agree the scope

Discuss your sites, users, key systems and concerns. Confirm the access, evidence, site visits and review activities required, then agree the quote and timing.

02 / Assess the environment

Review the agreed systems and available records with your team. Record findings, operational dependencies and any areas where further evidence or specialist input is needed.

03 / Walk through the findings

Receive a written summary and prioritised recommendations. We explain the reasoning, discuss next steps and identify which actions belong with your team or suppliers.

WHAT YOU TAKE AWAY

Make the next decision
with confidence.

A clear overview of the environment reviewed, the main risks and gaps, and a prioritised action plan with suggested responsibilities. Where further investigation is needed, the report makes that clear. Implementation and equipment proposals can be scoped separately.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before we begin.

Who is this review for?

Businesses across sectors, including offices, hospitality, property operations and multi-site organisations. We tailor the scope to your environment rather than using a hotel-only checklist.

Is this penetration testing or a certification?

This is a practical technology and security controls review. Penetration testing, formal compliance certification and specialist application audits are separate services and are not included in this review.

Do we need to change IT provider?

No. You can use the report with your current team or provider. Any implementation or ongoing Hillsnet support is discussed and scoped separately.

What access will you need?

We agree the systems, authorised access, documents and supplier contacts before starting. Any scanning, recovery tests or configuration changes require a specifically agreed scope and timing.

How much does it cost?

We provide a quote based on the number of sites, users and systems, the depth of the review and any site visits required. Share your setup and priorities so we can propose an appropriate scope.
